Are you missing the point? Why not battle and make money instead of being picky? Since your angle is that Lux is in it solely for the money. He could’ve taken a bunch of battles and run through guys like Twork, Nitty, Myers, DNA, JJDD, Roc, Suge, Ave etc a long time ago. So you’re wrong about it being only about the money for him.
