At What Age Do You Stop Respecting Your Elders?

How I was raised ..... Where I was raised elders are held in high esteem.....u could be walking down the street an older person from ur block or hood says I need u to go to the store for me.....u go
this....

these young dudes want to be respected so bad but dont want to give it.
they want you to earn their respect but can be disrespectful.

now while you can learn from a young dude....you can learn more ....waaaay more from an old head.

and if your old heads aint worth listening to....it say more about you and your location and your mindframe than it does the oldhead.

I'll earn my respect another way other than being an errand boy

One of the main reasons why I don't tell people anything anymore is because they don't appreciate it.

You're trying to help somebody by telling them something to prevent them from making the same mistakes that you did and they think you're just taking to be talking

Remember there was a thread a few years back where somebody said a lot of older cats just watch the youngins fall on their face just so they can get ahead themselves.

Think it was a thread Pralims ( @DOS_patos ) made.

'Thought it was kinda fucked up when I heard it, but I'm starting to understand why they do it now.

Used to be a time when I saw a youngin fucking up, I'd try to reach out to them.......(kinda like the Church Girl thread)

Now I just shake my head, chuckle to myself........and keep it moving.

"A hard head makes a soft behind."

Let these young knuckleheads learn the hard way and don't even waste your time with them.

Question... an old head feel like you outta line, walks up to and smacks you, what do you do? Take into consideration that he is well known in the neighborhood

Sometimes mistakes have to be made. Can't succeed without failure

depends on how i was raised and the connection to my parents when i was young.

most of us know when we are doing some stupid shit......most people just dont want to be called on it...

who said anything about jail? you can fail and still have a positive outcome from it b
again....why would i want to see someone fail?

rather than looking at those who want to help you as a bad thing....maybe look at those who would allow you to fail as the bad thing.

alot of niggas sit back and watch you fall on your face when maybe a bit f advice could have helped you.

when people stop thinking they need to listen...they already failed
