At What Age Do You Stop Respecting Your Elders?

Some... Most of these old folks talk nonsense anyways. Sometimes you have to look at old folks like the crazy. I gotta deal with all races and genders... and most of the people just talk to be talking. On some back in my day shit... well your day is over with and we living in the now.

When I started paying bills, would have to be mine. You might meet some who drop gems... sometimes, rarely
 
I kinda understand what OP is saying to a degree but you never stop respecting you're elders. Although, if you're tired of listening to their opinions or dealing with their negative attitudes then it's time to leave the spot.

My thing is... If you are able-bodied and capable of taking care of yourself it's time to bounce. Long story short I'm disabled but I'm in a situation where I don't want to live with my ppl anymore thing is I have to get my paper up.
 
I still respect my elders to a certain point. I notice people will really let someone walk over them because they're an elderly family member. NOT ME, sorry not sorry.

I can say once I had my daughter a lot of shit flew out the window with me because everyone wanted to give unsolicited advice. Telling me to do shit because "they did it when I was younger and I turned out ok". Fuck out my face with that. I got this.
 
I was kinda rambling there... I mean like you hear what they saying but you already kno how to go about doing things that will keep you afloat in life. Also, yeah I'm talking bout if one of these old ass folk say something crazy to you, you talk shit back to them

Younger generation? Definitely not. I don't keep up with all these different types of phones and gadgets and shit. I dress the way I always felt fit me. I don't do half the shit these young people do in 2018. What I said does not mean that I do neither.

However, even as a youngster, if I thought something was dumb/bs, I would say so and didn't think age meant anything. If an OG said something like I'm older than you so I know better, I would inform them that age doesn't guarantee wisdom and you could be 90 and be stupid.

Yeah I get tired of hearing that shit as well and I'm in my mid 30's. That really irks the fuck out of me. Elderly ppl and old folks think because certain ideas worked when they came up will work in this day & age. Not everything they were taught can be applied in this era. Different times.
