I love the album honestly.

I think it serves the very purpose he created it for, which is to be a calming and soothing listen.

I've slept with it playing on repeat the past two nights and for whatever reason on night TWO the loop function wasn't restarting from the beginning. Instead it autoplayed right into traditional hip hop.

The difference was jarring as fuck. I found myself getting started outta my sleep. It's like the peak volume of this album is even mastered lower than usual to achieve its goals. Idk man. I feel like I'm rambling, but I fux wit it.

I can see myself listening to more in this genre just on the strength of Dre showing me the way. Everything ain't gotta be so noisy or percussive, to be good music.

The problem with this type of music is that it's all interchangeable. I legitimately like the genre, but I would never buy an album. The album is cool, but from a quality standpoint, I can't say it's any different than a random Spotify Ambient or New Age playlist.
