I know all of this but and still don't feel like a party is a bunch of work to plan unless folks trying to do some over the top shit.

I don't really want to do all the shit from my original wedding when it comes to planning when we renew our vows. So 100% get what "event planning" entails. I just feel a birthday party ain't close to that.

I'm starting get that we also have differing views/opinions on what putting together a party together entails. IMO a basic party ain't an event so all that planning ain't needed to me.

I was cool for a minute... Danced, drank, then I ready to go...

But we had the hall till 9, everybody was having fun.... But I'm literally operating on 2 hours off sleep and a hang over... With a very pregnant wife...I was like I can give y'all till 730


We was out there by 6...

I heard niggaz still had fun...

Oh yeah your shit was different than mine. I slept well before my wedding and wife wasn't pregnant. You had extenuating circumstances. Difference understood.

You survived 40 years in a place that ain't easy to survive. Do whatever the fuck you want to do on your day fuck folks feelings about it deal with that shit a week after your day and be unapologetic in how you deal it as well.

Right, I got a nice plug down there, a nice spot that has great prices during the off season, walking distance to the casino..... Shit man she can come or go, I'll be good...
 
It's your birthday brotha end of the day if you don't want to do much or travel instead then do it. Anyone else is free to celebrate their birthdays how they please.
 
I dare someone to tell me how to spend my bday. Better run for cover. Only day I decide 100% what I do with my time. Fight me.
 
It maybe because im not friendly, but I don’t even know why you would ask this question. Birthdays are for you, it’s your birth day. Why would you even consider anyone else on your birth day?

If anybody is super pressed, they can take me out for a drink or two before we leave or after we come back. But I'm likely taking another two weeks down there, so it's gonna be extra early or extra late.... Imma be out of town the last week of July and first week of August

And frankly I don't wanna host shit on my birthday, I wanna go out the city and get fucked up by my damn self 🤷🏿‍♂️

You go to NO and if you want others to come and celebrate with you, then share your itinerary with them. If they can make it, great! If not, great!
