Alpha, Beta, Sigma. who are you?

So a sigma is an Alpha with Beta tendencies...

no. Sigma is similar to Alpha but simply doesn't give a fuck. Doesn't need to "belong" to anything unless it benefits him and even then leaves once is't no longer useful, doesn't give a fuck about what you think, really doesn't give a fuck about you, and generally operates outside of any rules imposed on everyone else.

Lol that's an Alpha bruh

I've been pretty steady in who I am. Maybe the only person that would challenge that would be my moms but that's 'cause she consistently mis-read the reasons I did shit.
im the same way....

people always misread why i do things...
but its because they are around so many stupid people....they assume i would be stupid and do it for the same dumb or meaningless reasons.

but once i explain how things go together...then they are amazed at how i came up with something.

I get what you're saying. But that's still Alpha shit.
nope....
its being and needing only himself.

most alphas need betas to be who they are.

without someone around thats lower or inferior to you....you can not be the alpha.
kinda like having your own apartment...and saying you make all the decisions. you need someone to say you have the decisions over.

alphas want to be leaders
betas need a leader and sigmas dont need nor want to be either

What you're suggesting is counter scientific and against natural law.

Alpha is Alpha because it's first. It's there not because anything came after it, but because it's simply there. The nature of Alpha is self existing. What you're describing is anything that comes after alpha because Beta, Gamma, Delta, etc need something else to come before and after.

I get the need to differentiate the lunkhead blowhard Alphas from the lone soldier Alphas but personality groups have subsets. Not all Alphas rely on others to affirm their existence.

In nature, one member of a group fights for dominance over the whole: That's the Alpha. He's the alpha until he's supplanted by another alpha who bests him by whatever means necessary within that species. He is the leader, the pack follows him and treats him as their leader.

The Sigma isn't interested in any of this. In that way he's the lone wolf, so to speak. He's content with forging his own path without the need to be dominant over a group because there is no group; only him.

This feels like an oversimplification, guy

I heard that Han Solo is a good example of a sigma. It's not just that he doesn't want others around him, it's that others do not have control over him. Just being a lone wolf does not make you a sigma if you are not able to function in society in a way that lets you be your own boss and avoid being affected by other people's choices and control. What Han does isn't really determined by the empire or by the Jedi, he makes his own rules. In the same way, if you're a solo rider, but you still take orders from a boss or manager, then you don't fit the description

How else do we know who is the dominant person in a social group if we don't look at how the people interact in the social group and who has the most power and respect and bitches?

the thing i have noticed in the past is that dude try to be alphas by faking it.
most alphas nowadays are insecure and try to be the look at me type guy. but without people around would that person still be an alpha? Most can't because they cant be the center of attention alone. they have no one around to be better than.
betas need to be lead and are lost aswell.
Sigma....does care whos around because they will always be themselves.

the others need each other to eat....its a symbiolic relationship.
