No they weren't. The first to arrive were Australian aboriginals not Africa and they been out of Africa for about 60,000 years prior to that time.

There were several "black" nations throughout the Americas before Columbus. Everyone didn't arrive on a slave ships.
Alot of the tribes interbred with slaves and other natives. Latter on the "black/darkskin" natives got mixed in with the slaves and push out.
The truth is there you just have to dig.
People are so hung up on reparations from slavery they don't understand that the land is actually ours. They owe us so much.
The tribes in America were just as diverse as the people in Africa.
