COMMUNITY ABW Travel/Vacation thread: It's 2024 and we ain't gonna be home y'all!

I have never heard of sand mites until I went to the Dominican Republic. Nowhere was safe
Not sure if they were mites or mosquitoes. But they never said anything to me about there being a excess of em. Stood out there and leg and upper body covered got em off me, then went in to the pool. And shit it was to late they ate good . This was August 12 I still have little scars and still itch to this day

Sand mites were on Saona Island the pirates of the Carribbean beach.

Everywhere else was just regular mosquitoes just murdering me

yall dont use big spray or somethin?
I didn't cause in Jamaica no issues. Los cabos no issue. Wasn't until I got to Punta Cana I got attacked. But I'll start traveling with it now. But like blue said even if you had a hazmat suit on they was going to attack you

When I went to Kenya the room was sprayed down.. had one of them net joints around the bed.. had the repellant on....

when putting on the repellant I missed my lower legs tho.. woke up and they had lit me the fuck up! lol bastards
I was in Kenya in June I didn't get bitten at all. But it was their winter.

They fucked my unprotected legs up in July 🤣

I still laugh at that monkey tryna steal my gotdamn breakfast
I stayed in a glass room in the Maasai Mara. Top 3 worse things I have ever done travelling wise. It was a green house the humidity was crazy but they said we shouldn't open the doors because the monkeys will enter at night.

Going for breakfast and watching them run out the kitchen with food is legendary
