@konceptjones, what's a decent soundbar setup I can get. Preferably with a sub. Not trying to spend over $125
I'm on Amazon, what should I be looking for? And I prefer wireless.
All sound bars sound like ass. I mean... if you just want some shit that makes noise go for one, but by virtue of their size they can't sound all that great.
Now... This applies if you need said soundbar to reproduce music
as well as TV programming. If that's the case, you're better off going for a pair of halfway decent bookshelf speakers, a center channel, some stands, and a sub.
But...
If all you want it for is to sound better than the internal speakers on the TV while watching your shows then by all means a soundbar will be an upgrade over whatever basura was slapped in your TV. Just do your ears a favor: Don't use them things for music.
Don't just take my word for it tho:

... As a group, you are in the driver's seat of the audio hardware market. And as a group, you are driving our car off the cliff. The problem is your insatiable love of soundbars.
When soundbars first appeared, I figured they were the perfect way to provide center-channel playback in a 5.1 system. Now, it appears that soundbars (aka wireless speakers) are becoming the de facto, general-purpose audio playback device. Soundbar sales keep increasing, while sales of other playback means decrease. And let's be clear about who is responsible for this: You are.
According to the NPD Group's, Soundbar Ownership and Usage Study, a year ago, Millennials bought 35% of all audio hardware; now they account for 44%. At the same time, sales of soundbars costing less than $200 saw double-digit growth, while sales of soundbars costing more than $500 fell 34%. Not only are you buying soundbars, you are buying junk soundbars..."
I've been running a soundbar on my center monitor on my work PC setup. For audio during meetings, watching videos, the occasional game, and shit like that it's better than the built-in speakers most def. But, I listen to music while I work from the time I unlock my PC at 8am until I stop for the day around 6pm and it all sounds like utter
ASS on this thing. I'd do a million times better with my 24 year old Bose Roommate II's than this fuckin thing, but I don't have the wall mounts for them anymore and I don't have desk space for 'em anymore 'cause I'm running three monitors now. Shit, I'd prolly do better with the trash ass Dell desktop speakers on my wife's machine over this soundbar.
Also, if what you're looking for is wireless, and especially bluetooth, don't do it particularly if you listen to streaming services, mp3's, or any other audio that's compressed before it hits the bluetooth radio.
