I understand where some of them are coming from. Imagine if white people didn't invade and colonize Africa. Would people over there go around identifying as Black or African? No. Those are labels Europeans forced on us. Here in America, we try to act like we're all from the same tribe, but over there they know that's not true. When Ethiopians fought Eritreans for years and years, it didn't matter that they all look similar. They knew they were different.
The problem for them is when they come to the West and try to keep that mindset. They get smacked with the reality that it's different here. Some get on board. Some don't. We as ADOS or FBA or whatever you want to call us got to learn to build with who we can and leave the others behind.
