Why are reaction videos so popular?

Because when you find a a tv show or movie or whatever that you REALLY love, you want it to be a communal experience. You want to put your friends on it and go through that journey with them and see their reactions to the shit that you loved or hated or were confused by or devastated by.

The next best thing to that is reaction videos.

I used to wonder the exact same thing.
