I wish I lived in NY during that time.

Never even knew much about the NY radio scene until I went to Hampton U and heard people from up north talking about it.

Well, I knew about Red Alert when all the beef was going down between Krs and the Juice Crew.........which stemmed partly from the WBLS/KissFM radio wars between Red Alert and Mr Magic/Marley Marl.

But I know it doesn't compare to actually living up there checking out those shows every night.


I don't think enough people really appreciate how much of a resource youtube is for hiphop.

All types of mixtapes and recordings of radio shows........DJ competitions........New Music Seminar

Almost everything from back in the day can be found there.

It's a start for them to keep or increase their memberships. A lot of streaming platforms are suffering cause it is over populated. Even disney is taking major loses with their disney +.

I see all the companies are avoiding it but there is one sure way to increase sales. Porn, lol. Bet money one of them gonna do it. My money is on hbo.

Tell me about FM, was dude a Memphis legend in the rap game or nah? I don't even remember buying this tape, which is probably why it's in pristine condition unlike quite a few of my old tapes. I used to do this shit where I would blind buy a tape and check it out which is how I discovered E40. Apparently I played at least part of it and threw it back in the case 'cause the tape ain't all the way back at the beginning.

Watching Once Upon A Time In America for the first time in years.


Don't know how I missed it, but I'm just now realizing that Joe Pesci and the actor who played Adrian's brother from the Rocky movies were in it.
