Hatians brought jazz to NO? What's up with people telling these egregious lies in an attempt to rob African Americans of our accomplishments.?

Haitians did not create jazz. That's just demonstrably wrong. The history of jazz is well documented. Ya'll can't just keep making shit up and then claiming that everyone else is deficient in knowledge.

I tried to do my own research...

That's such a weird claim.

A lot of black people in New Orleans have Haitian roots, so it would be perfectly fine to say there was a heavy Haitian influence on Jazz. Hell, I think it would be fair to say that about pretty much everything associated with New Orleans. But to claim that Jazz was something that Haitians created and then brought to New Orleans is crazy.

It's not? Weren't most of the slaves that ended up in NO brought from Haiti? When I say a lot of black people in NO have Haitian roots. I'm not talking about them being descended from recent Haitian migrants. I'm talking about further back than that. It's similar to how a lot of the black people on the coast of SC where I'm from have roots in Barbados because that was an intermediary step for many slaves between Africa and SC.
