Don't get a gambling addiction. Shit is terrible. My first time at a casino was in New Orleans. As im walking up the steps to get in, this woman on the steps asked for some money to gamble with. Told me she gonna pay me back on her next win. She offered her driver license as collateral. Shit was sad to see.

Oh no, I saw it first hand playing poker for as long as I did. I played heavy in my early 20's..

I just had to stop. It was ridiculous
 
My first time gambling, I was playing roulette. It was a hybrid. A person did the rolling but you made bets on a computer. Since it was my first time, I only took out $20. The min to put down was $5. I accidentally put my whole $20 down but won. Double my money, but that hit shook me. From there, I knew why people can get hooked. I stopped and just used my winnings to get some food, lol.

Im not a big gambler but dont mind doing it. Most i ever went with into a casino is like $100. When I lost that, I was like im just gonna go in with $20 in the future. I only play roulette anyway. Once I start winning, I just gamble with my winnings. If i lose my winnings, Sometimes i bounce with what i came with or gamble with what i came with. I probably go once a month or couple of months.

I stopped betting on apps bc no matter what I won I always gave that shit back.

Knew a guy who won $45k off two parlays in a week, showed me the tickets n all, but admitted since he started he basically broke even.

When I seen him a couple weeks later he said he was down $10k since that hit.

I saw my future n bowed out gracefully.

If I was ever to gamble again it'd prob be poker.
 
So when I left my job in 2006, I did sales during the day and poker at night.

I had a little book to keep track of my ups and downs, places I played, earnings and losses... It was like a little journal. At my highest I was up like 12k.... My lowest was something like 8k

When I dug myself out the hole....I played long enough to get rent money for my townhouse. Then I just quit.

I lost friend's, so much money, and ended up moving back home after I gave my roommate the rent money

First time I ever gambled and learned it wasn’t for me when I was 5 - 7. It was a kiddy roulette table at the carnival. I picked a number and it did not win. I was sad, the lady said cheer up and try again. I was like nope, she did the good ol wink and smile. So I picked a color instead of a number. You know that shit landed on the number (opposite color) I just played. That was it, no more gambling for me. Instead at 14 I jacked off to the big titty girl on American Pie and became a porn addict, haven’t been right since.

Bruh, I won something like 1200 in one hand at the $5-10 table at Caesar in AC ione night in poker.... Shit almost started a fight cuz I wasn't trying to stay long enough for them to win their money back

Same thing happened in New Orleans 2021

I always get up after a big win. It's bad etiquette, but I never gave a fuck
