2026: Back to the randomness

They're banned or restricted in several countries because of carbon laws mostly. Some people that do own them have to hide them. Electricity is also more than double the price it is in the US in some of those countries.
you know what time it is then....

Yall speaking from a place of privilege. America as a whole dont really care about the environment . Hell, some dont even believe in global warming.

The EU really taking one for the "team" by not adding on to this mess.

I'm guessing solar panels on homes haven't caught on yet in the EU because that would eliminate this problem in some places. They might not be as effective in a country like the UK where the weather is dreary more often than not, but I have to imagine that counties like Spain and Portugal would benefit. I know some EU countries are investing in solar for the power grid, so they have to see value in the technology.

depends on the solar implementation and the laws around it.

I was looking to get solar out here but the benefits arent really there unless you get battery storage as well, which adds to the already high cost of installing solar to begin with

Does your state give any incentives? Is the Federal money still there or did Trump get rid of it?

I'll just share my experience. My panels cost me around 40K but the Fed money brought it down to 25K. I financed it for 25 years at a low rate, so I'm paying $140 a month. That's less on average than what the electric bill would be each month, so I'm already saving in that regard. Plus I overproduce, so I always build up a big credit that the electric company pays me every year. And then we get money every month from SRECs (utility companies basically buy the credits for the energy we produce so they can meet clean energy regulations). So, my panels basically earn me money. Hell, I got an EV and cut out all fuel cost for my car. I charge exclusively at home and it comes from my overages, so I essentially pay nothing for it.

MD is a pretty liberal state, so I'm sure it's not like this in every state, but I'd imagine if the EU is so progressive when it comes to energy that they don't even use ACs, they'd probably be willing to implement solar technology in a good way.

I think trump killed the incentives benefits for going solar

I don't think it's recommended if you don't get a lot of sun anyway

Yea that’s failed. Gloomy ass weather they have out there lol

Im talking about in Bermuda. Aint no incentives anymore as far as I know.

I was looking into it for the crib but when I had the people come out to give a quote they were saying even if you had solar, if the power goes out, even with the panels on the roof you would be out of power as well because you are still connected to the grid/electric company. Its a safety issue if you are generating power and guys are out on the utility poles trying to restore power and there is voltage coming from the panels or something.

The only way its feasible is if you are storing your own power and there is a switchoff that stops the feed from going back to the external grid

You suppose to put behind it.
lol thanks man

Hey, you are talking to yourself about anything do you say I, We, or your name when talking to yourself?

Example

I have to go to the gas station

We have to go to the gas station

(Your name) has to go to the gas station

I am always saying WE, and I don’t know why

We need to exercise
We need to wake up now
We need to talk to the barber and see what days he has available

I don’t know why, but I have been doing this for years

I think a decently mentally healthy person says “I, We, You, Me”

I feel like a person that thinks “I” at all times, is not a healthy person to be around

Well which one do you say?

I wasn’t going to judge

And maybe you are right if someone says “I” all the time, may be kind of off.
