Yep but organizations and the fans want instant results.. but him behind a good vet for a season or two and develop but nope.

Josh Allen being a “project” that had raw talent and succeeding is the reason behind this. AR should have been a late round pick learning. He did himself no favors when he was put in that spot.
 
Its a very rare occurrence to get a Josh Allen or Joe Burrow or Jayden Daniels. Think about how many first round QBs came into the NFL with all the hype and praise from college just to end up out of the league within a few years.. happens way more often.
 
Getting drafted by an organization like the Colts who were still trying to recover from the Andrew Luck situation, the ceiling and pressure was high to be successful right away and you have a couple games where you play well suddenly they forget that you still should be developing, injuries also didn’t help.
 
The Colts were put in a fucked up situation after Luck retired. Signing Phillip Rivers and having a decent season where they went to the playoffs was a curse more than anything. Set them on the path where they thought they could get washed dudes off the street thinking they can strike lightening in a bottle (Wentz, Matt Ryan).

Then once they realized that was no longer viable they reached big time on AR hoping he would be black Josh Allen… when he really shouldn’t have been anywhere near a starting job that soon. The head coach and front office hoping Danny Dimes can save them and even if they think at worst he leads them to the number one overall pick… theres a good chance they won’t be there to see it and there’s no guarantee Arch Manning comes out next year.

The Colts maybe fucked… again.
 
I was working in IND and me and the homie had tickets to go to that game. Man IND was hurt that day he announced his retirement.
