Cam Thomas is going into his 5th season..Cam Thomas
Fuck nigga
My point still remainsCam Thomas is going into his 5th season..
I can’t imagine ainge taking that for Lauri to be honestMarkkanen to the Spurs still makes a ton of sense to me
I think the Olynyk/Barnes expiring plus Castle gets you there money wise, maybe a little short...throw in reasonable draft compensation and I dont see why that doesnt work for both teams
Bro just name a player drafted these past 3 years who you think would benefit from being on a diff team due to their current situation possibly stifling their developmentMy point still remains
But if you wanna get specific, I think it's still too early to tell.
The microwave culture exists even in basketball. Not all situations are created equal. Every draft pick in the lottery or the first round shouldn't have the same expectation, especially when you factor in where they were drafted and the teams construction at the time they were drafted
After the rookie contract is a better time to assess where they need to be in their career at that point
But I'm not cause there are too many variables to considerBro just name a player drafted these past 3 years who you think would benefit from being on a diff team due to their current situation possibly stifling their development
Stop being a headass nigga lmao
But I'm not cause there are too many variables to consider
You acting like fat boy and em trying to have these discussions too prematurely
I ain't gonna tag what you're calling yourself now but I love you beta![]()
Hmmm
Serious question
Why do y'all insist on trying to evaluate someone based on how much they make
Y'all will never, and I mean never make this make sense. You are worth what the agent can negotiate on your behalf.
There are teams that are going to "overpay", there are teams that are going to "get great value" for the same or similar production.
My annoyance comes from y'all trying to treat all 30 teams equally which is the issue. Small market teams tend to overpay while bigger market teams can get get "appropriate" value.
None of us own teams so to discuss this for pages is just odd because y'all are smart enough to know this still yet find the time to try and prop up certain teams for "properly" paying talent while criticizing teams who "overpay" for equivalent production.
I do appreciate a certain level of nuance to have certain discussions but y'all are dead set on some extremes. Why does any of this matter when the rules of the cba determine that a team has to spend a floor amount?
Maybe I'm alone in this and I'm ok with this. But just like y'all can discuss that side of it, I'm within my right to push back on y'all when y'all do this.
For the record @southsil4lil , I fw you heavy fam
But even with that being said, any comments I make that appear on opposition of yours shouldn't be viewed as I don't appreciate your contributions in here
Why you quote this, you want him to say it back?I ain't gonna tag what you're calling yourself now but I love you beta![]()
I can’t imagine ainge taking that for Lauri to be honest
A couple of thingsIts all love fam, I dont take anything on here personal
But why do you feel the need to push back on basketball conversations being had in the middle of the off season?
Not a even a few sentences in you say "Y'all will never, and I mean never make this make sense".........so Im not going to waste my time explaining why some people find these conversations intriguing and necessary
Yall come in here crying everyday
Why are yall talking about redrafts?
Why are yall taking about the remaining 4 restricted free agents?
Why are yall talking about contracts?
If you aren't interested in that part of team building when it comes to contracts, the cap, cba ect cool...why not scroll past it or start a conversation about something that interests you?
I love you too bWhy you quote this, you want him to say it back?
I understand and agree somewhat about letting some of these players actually play out or get to the last season of their rookie contract before judging them fully. On the other hand some of these players are easy to see they are or aren’t gonna pan out no matter where they will end up. .My point still remains
But if you wanna get specific, I think it's still too early to tell.

Lauri in theory is a great fit on the Spurs roster.Even with draft capital?
I just dont see who else can put a better offer where it makes sense for that team
Castle, Bailey, Kessler, Sensabaugh...a top 3 pick in this draft (hopefully not)
You can start actually seeing something to build around

Some folks love to wheel and deal, while others like to hard their cards close to their vest
A couple of things
I literally read every single post even when I'm a day or two behind so let's start there
I'm not pulling anything out of thin air. My main gripe is us having conversations about value is irrelevant cause it won't change what those teams paid and what the player got. But there is a bit of irony also.
I guess I'm always living in the moment. I couldn't care less about a draft pick a decade from now so no need in investing mental bandwidth about a potential player who's currently in the 4th grade. I don't get caught in all that because it's a crap shoot and I don't put too much stock into it cause not all teams are created equal. I'ma take each year as it's own within context and go from there.
Yes, the team I root for has underperformed by a ton of metrics. Ok, now what?? This is who they have and they are still gonna trout out a team opening night. I'ma either watch or I'm not. I choose to watch when I can cause of my high school ref obligations and my personal life. I sincerely appreciate some of the discussions here (primarily driven by you and beta) surrounding team future flexibility or lack of it. I think that's fair but at some point, it becomes a bit much, especially in the off season when there really isn't much to discuss outside of transactions and aggregated bullshit from wack ass accounts.
For me personally, I'm trying to find balance. That's not a criticism of you and beta per se but an acknowledgement of maybe how my interest has faded cause at least for now, the team I root for seems to be on some other shit.
Been trying to find a B team to root for for a min but that also requires time to research them which I don't have an abundance of these days which is definitely a personal issue for myself
BUT, I still feel I can speak on these conversations that seem to go on for days and days with no real end in sight. I feel like I can give my opinion and it not be perceived as, "close the thread" or "stop complaining" all within the context of the basketball talk. I guess I just wanna see a lil more diversity but I agree I have to also play a role in this.
I'm on vacay right now but I'm gearing up to start a series when I get home and I hope you can support your brother when I do
NahNo disrespect bro but I come in here to talk basketball not explain why Im talking about basketball
If you dont like what Im talking about or what Im discussing put me on ignore or scroll past it and create your own conversation and engage with other posters or wait until something is being discussed that you want to talk about
This is the definition of making somerhing out of nothing
I still don’t see itEven with draft capital?
