Lauri in theory is a great fit on the Spurs roster.

That contract and injury history is UGLY

I would be cautious and hesitant as well, its just such a seamless fit lol

The cost of acquiring should be reasonable but yeah the injury history would concern me more than the contract itself...if you were to tell me he was going to be relatively healthy and available in the playoffs I would feel better because you're getting him through his age 31 season which should be his prime years

It would really depend on the package

And that's the thing

There is no "right" approach imo. There is no exact science to this shit. OKC has done well for themselves and should be applauded for their ability to win the title with mostly players they've actually drafted sans SGA but even with him, they viewed him as a piece and had no issue asking the clippers for him when they traded PG for him.

This simply isn't going to be every teams story
FACTS.

My biggest point in what I was saying Is at the end.... LMAO.

The 2 who you replied to, like to wheel and deal. It's what they've done for the longest on this site. Why even confront them about this when it's in their DNA? LMAO.

I understand where you are coming from about sometimes seeing how things play out working just as well as consistently making moves.

Fair

AP you bitch ass nigga who’s a player that’s been drafted within the past 3 seasons could use a change of scenery for their development?

That’s not on the pelicans
Also to answer my own question, I asked this because of Sam Vecenie and I agree it’s Oso Ighodaro

My golden eagle needs to be freed badly so he doesn’t get lost in the mix and never gets a real shot

Ala John Henson and Anthony Randolph

Edit: And Leonard Miller

Our Kispert argument had nothing to do with wheeling and dealing or pocket watching

Don’t do this again as a core four member

You pulled those names out the sacrificial NBA graveyard. Hadn't heard them in a min

But, this validates my point. If they are drafted somewhere else based on a better ideal roster composition, maybe they have more staying power in the NBA vs being phased out

Question lol… what did you think I asked you?

Your response let me know you was thinking too hard about it

I agree with the statement above 100%

Any competent GM isn't going to want to give up a ton to take on that deal and that injury history for what Ainge is gonna want as far as asset returns.

I also agree with @MrBeef that the best player they would be getting back as Castle, wouldn't be what Ainge would consider as a good trade. Especially with the draft assets most likely being garbage if health is on the Spurs side.

Probably

I'm not gonna blame it all on Jack and diet Coke but I'ma put some of it on the jack and diet Coke

from my understanding he wasn't just talking about the Kispert (which was funny by the way) conversation.

edit.

Yeah, he did start tripping off of how much to pay Kispert. My bad

Sir just FOR FUN

name a player since the 2022 draft who you could recognize that might need to change teams really soon or run the risk of having his development stifled immensely

Like understand how I asked you that and you said

My point still remains

But if you wanna get specific, I think it's still too early to tell.

The microwave culture exists even in basketball. Not all situations are created equal. Every draft pick in the lottery or the first round shouldn't have the same expectation, especially when you factor in where they were drafted and the teams construction at the time they were drafted

After the rookie contract is a better time to assess where they need to be in their career at that point

But I'm not cause there are too many variables to consider

You acting like fat boy and em trying to have these discussions too prematurely
