He is relatively slim now. He just muscular as fuck. Idk how much slimmer he can get.

You might be right. That's kinda what happened to Yao. China overplayed him, so that was a problem, but it did seem like his body couldn't hold up to the rigors of his game.

Yao was being told to bulk up and get bigger so he could go against guys like Shaq but his body wasn't meant to carry extra weight like that

If he would've stayed lanky/skinny he would've been fine but you're right, once he started getting hurt and was being forced to play for the Chinese national team while still injured it was a wrap
