A friend of mine was hoping he fell to the 2nd round so my Lakers can buy a pick and take him, but looks like his stock is going up.

He came into the combine as a 2nd round pick but I would say he worked his way to being pick 25-30

Same here, I had to a some research and look into him a little more but yeah he's looking like he should be a late 1st based on his workouts

In addition to Cadeau — the No. 7 player in the country, according to the composite rankings of the recruiting website 247 Sports — the sophomore class includes: No. 1 Naasir Cunningham (Overtime Elite), No. 33 Dylan Harper (Don Bosco Prep) and No. 42 Tahaad Pettiford (Hudson Catholic). And the juniors a year ahead of Cadeau & Co. include: No. 1 Dajuan Wagner Jr., who goes by DJ (Camden High School), No. 3 Mackenzie Mgbako (Gill St. Bernard’s), No. 12 Simeon Wilcher (Roselle Catholic), No. 20 Aaron Bradshaw (Camden) and No. 48 Akil Watson (Roselle Catholic).
“It’s been a great time to grow up playing basketball in New Jersey,” Cadeau said. “The competition and friendship among elite players here is unlike anywhere else. I don’t feel like there’s another state right now that can compete with New Jersey in terms of basketball talent.”
I don’t want to disrespect anybody,” said Billy Armstrong, who graduated from Bergen Catholic in 1994 and now coaches Cadeau. “But when I played here, the talent wasn’t nearly at the level it is now, that’s for sure. This is my 11th year as varsity coach, and I can say that in the last four or five years, the talent has really taken off. There’s this pride here when New Jersey is in the conversation as the best basketball state in the entire country.”
Armstrong also played collegiate basketball at Davidson and professionally overseas. He pointed to the tenacity and toughness it takes to live in major metropolitan areas in the Northeast as part of the reason so much talent has emerged in his home state. He also thinks there’s a momentum effect in play. Players like Karl-Anthony Towns and Kyrie Irving have given children growing up in the Garden State some New Jersey-born stars to look up to. And those young players have competed against each other for years, strengthening each other’s games and helping them get noticed by recruiting services and college coaches.

Happy for the kid. He still has a lot to develop offensively but he’s so long (ll) and athletic, he’s a nightmare defensively. I want a team to have the vision so I can retire lolol

Now that we have seen their rookie seasons, how would u rank your top 3 in the 2021 class now? I think it pretty much comes down to Cade, Green, Mobley and Barnes. Giddey and Wagner might deserve consideration, but i need to see more to put them in the 1st group.
I still have Cade as the top guy. Started out slow, but improved very very much in the 2nd half especially when he got a lob threat in Bagley. Special talent that will only get better with more strength and better floor spacing.
I was one of the highest on Barnes pre draft and was happy to see him flourish in his rookie season, but i still have Mobley over him for the 2nd spot. Love Mobley's defense and i think he has shown a framework for his offense to be something special in the future. There was a brief period towards the end of the season when Jarrett Allen got injured and Mobley played as the center. He was amazing in the time-span until he hurt his ankle i think and missed some time.
Barnes is 3 for me. Solid passer, solid defender. Showed some scoring potential, but i am still really worried about his shot. Started out well shooting, but regressed as the season went on.
I have Jalen Green 4th. I know my Shtick on here is to call him Basura and belittle his game, but i am actually a fan of the kid as a person. Before the draft, heard he is a very hardworking kid who loves basketball. U can see his hard work in how he got better as the season went on. That's a kid who is listening to coaching and implementing what he has heard into his game. His 3 point shooting in the 2nd half of the season was amazing. Still terrible on defense, like really really bad. But i think that's something that can be fixed. I really want the Rockets to traded or cut KPJ and put the ball in Jalen Green's hands. See if he has some playmaking chops in him. If he does, could move up my list quickly.

Yea. Just make a 2022/2023 College Basketball/EYBL, Overtime, and G league Thread. Thought "Prospects" covered (EYBL, Overtime, and G league).
No it does it’s just that I was gonna put those 3 in it’s separate thread because it’s NOT college

We barely talked about Overtime last season but with the Thompson twins looming, chatter will be up. Same with Scoot and the G- League. EYBL, i really dont care about.
