2024/2025 College Basketball/Prospects Thread

I have the same top 3. Need to watch more Duren. I can see Mathurin and Griffin cracking my top 5, need to watch more tape though.
Very rudimentary on my part but I think Jabari smith is better than AJ griffin and as a front office I would draft the taller player who maybe has more potential defensively

Jabari Smith looks like he can play both forward spots whereas 6’5 AJ griffin will be more limited to how he can be used on the court

but I’m a casual who hasn’t seen much so far. Pre draft I’ll dig in deeper but that’s my initial thoughts

After The tournament and later on I’ll start evaluating guys but this is just my gut feeling

Griffin is very good though

LOL, i am kinda the Jabari skeptic in this thread, but i definitely have him 4th behind Chet, Paolo and Ivey. When i said Mathurin or Griffin cracking the top 5, i meant one of them getting the 5th spot, lol.

Chet, Paolo, Ivey and Jabari are in their own clear tier.

Hmm 🤔 that means you’re not sure about Duren

I’ll circle back at some point to give a verdict between Duren, Mathurin, and Griffin

Is there anybody else who could “Scottie barnes” his way to a top 5 spot?

LOL, i had Scottie Barnes over Jalen Green during the last draft cycle. I thought me saying Ivey over Jabari was going to be the version this time, but more folks are coming to that conclusion too.

As for a sleeper that could make a jump into the top 5 out of nowhere, keep your eye on Shaedon Sharpe. If he declares for the draft, the scenario in this video might happen...

Oh good Shaedon Sharpe I actually heard of lol

okay but small curveball question then I’ll leave you alone..

Sharpe or Scoot?

oh nvm I forgot scoot can’t get drafted this year

then I’ll just respond lol nobody gonna pull a move like that

Not in the top 5 lol

Have u heard of Keegan Murray? He was pretty much the best player in college basketball based on raw production. Dude is above average in so many things, but none of his skills standout to me. He is a sophomore. Heard NBA folks like him. He will not dazzle u, but he might end up been one of the 5 best players in this draft when it is all said and done.

Oh Yeah I heard of him and I watched him play like once I forgot what school he’s from. I’ll look into him too

I can’t take him seriously bcos he was a big LaMelo hater, but nice to see Rafael Barlow partnering up with Chad Ford’s Substack. That’s a big deal.

Dude put in the work and is reaping the rewards of his hard work.

Still can’t take the hater seriously though
YOOOO, Chad Ford threw this brother a serious Alley Hoop. I know his reputation is not the greatest, but Props to Chad Ford.

I probably have some sort of bias but watching Jaden Ivey give Texas that work had me thinking he could be a legit number one pick

Was very impressed with his playmaking in transition and the half court
