Don't understand why everyone keeps saying the Lions got robbed.

Their coach robbed them by not giving his team the best chance to win when he decided to go for a 2pt. conversion instead of an extra point to tie the game and go into overtime.

Even after the debacle with the conversion, he had two more chances to kick an extra point..........but chose not to.

So, the Lions are more of a victim of their coach's ego and bad decisions than anything else.

I believe the “robbery” comes in with them getting screwed in the first place.

Wouldn't surprise me if we dump Xavien Howard in the offseason. Can't have guys that are injury prone that you relying on

I get all that. I really do. I just think his "style" of coaching is played out. The days of the stern disciplinarian type coach roaming the sidelines not calling any plays are played out. It worked with an older team but the Steelers have gotten a lot younger over the last few years. TJ Watt has been a blessing for him. He needs a change of scenery imo. He has a perfect style for college. Tomlin would be in the NCAA what everyone thinks Deion will become. I know. I know. He's not going to college.
Tomlin’s style is non micro managing which is a blessing and a curse. His style works best woth veteran teams because he expects professionalism in all things. Vet players understand what that means.

Them younguns dont. This is Mike Ts first real deal rebuild…I think he is smart and adaptable enough to know he has to change his style to fit his current team

This is horsehit

First of all, the two-point conversion was the right call because Dan Campbell did not want to play an extra period of football. We were in a position to get the one seed despite being injured the entire years and are finally getting guys back. Within the game both Jamo and Sam Laporta got hurt. He simply wanted to get the hell out of there.

Second, WE GOT FUCKED. Period. The replay clearly shows Taylor Decker reporting as eligible and the ref blew the damn call. An Elementary school ref could have gotten it right which is why the crew has been downgraded and won't be officiating in the playoffs.

This isn't the 1990s anymore. Coaches are more aggressive and using analytics instead of doing the conservative OT crap and it works more often than that. The Lions had a great play lined up, executed it and it was taken away by the refs. They shouldn't have had to run two more plays because the 1st one was successful

I read like 4 articles about this and this seems to be on the lions HC after all according to the rules of reporting an eligible receiver
Thats because the bootlicking NFL media is trying to carry water for the NFL and the refs.

GMF explained it perfectly.
