Keep that mind. So I don’t wanna see no passive aggressive posts when he has a bad game.
That’s not hate

That’s just saying Mikal is not who nets fans thought he was

And that’s fine. That’s why you should move him soon before the offers get even worse

A bad game doesn’t prove that point though; so yeah it is hate.
It reinforces the point

Mikal having 13 shot attempts in multiple games reinforces the point

Mikal not being better than he has been on D reinforces the point

Mikal deferring to cam Thomas reinforces the point

Mikal not being an allstar caliber player despite being one after the trade last season (which was due to teams not being prepared mostly) reinforces the point

It’s not being reactionary it’s noticing a trend

Y’all gonna be paying Bridges 42 mil a year to give you 22ppg and play with Kyle Kuzma

-The team is not in a position to tank due to not owning their own picks. By tanking they’d be giving the Rockets free lottery picks. Are we clear so far?

-So they’ve decided to try and be as competitive as possible despite having limited resources. Which means trying to compete for a play in spot and hoping things break their way? Got it?

-They hope to flip other pieces on the team for more veterans to build around Mikal, Cam T and Claxton while also hoping that a few of the young guys (Jalen Wilson, Whitehead etc) pans out and become at the minimum rotation players if not stars.

-Stem the tide for a few more years, see where they are by 2027 and go from there.
But yall not competitive so moving off mikal and Johnson for other picks/young players should be the move, not spiting the Rockets. The trade was the trade (a loss) and subsequent trades also haven't worked in Brooklyns favor.

Time to tear it all down but for whatever reason you're interested in playing along with a narrative where Sean marks keeps his job. How much time are you gonna watch him waste and still tow the line?

People say “trade this guy” but for whom? What’s the package looking like (⏸️)? It’s not about spiting the Rockets, it doesn’t make sense to go through a terrible season just to not reap the reward of a high lotto pick because another team will simply swap. Imagine the Nets being in the Pistons position right now but knowing they have to swap that high pick.

In hindsight, I wish they moved permanently to Newark
It wouldnt have worked.

If they moved to newark in 2024, I think they would have a chance.

But in the 2000s and early 2010s, Newark wasnt ready to carry a basketball team.

BK is a much bigger market than North Jersey would be because North Jersey never really had an identity. We just a suburb of NYC, and already have so many team allegiences.

In NYC though, every borough has its own identity and sense of pride. So being Brooklyns team, you might be able to build something.

Would love the Nets to be in NJ. But the Nets made the right move imo

No I know

Newark sucked to be in around that time

I’m saying in hindsight for lack of a better word but if they were in Newark today?!

It’s up

Yo just say you like doing this

I appreciate the effort but you using the old bridges price for these trades
Get out of your feelings. I'm not a gm I'm just making trades up. Point being is the nets are not stuck with anyone except Ben Simmons. And can move off their current core for assets.
