But in the 2000s and early 2010s, Newark wasnt ready to carry a basketball team.

BK is a much bigger market than North Jersey would be because North Jersey never really had an identity. We just a suburb of NYC, and already have so many team allegiences.

In NYC though, every borough has its own identity and sense of pride. So being Brooklyns team, you might be able to build something.

Would love the Nets to be in NJ. But the Nets made the right move imo

I went to games around that era in Newark and the fan support was there. If the Devils are doing well then I don’t see how the Nets won’t work especially considering that basketball is way more popular than hockey. Had they stayed they probably would’ve embraced the city and had corny brick themed jerseys.

Kyrie would’ve came from Cleveland if the nets were in NJ

before Covid so it would’ve been cool lol

Bridges not going nowhere but to entertain this question. I’d want 2/4 first round picks a young building block (Cade Cunningham type) and another young rotational player (Dereck Lively type) and based on the circumstance I’ll take a slightly overpaid vet (Tobias Harris type)

Kennard is solid to have and relatively cheap and top 20 in 3pt%

Even if you don’t like him, he has a team option so he’s gone and you have more money in the summer

But Ziarie is to fill salary and maybe you guys get what ppl saw to pick him top 10

But herro and Jaime is crazy? Also mikal isn't on a massive contract. You don't/can't take back an overpaid vet.

You could've just... nvm.
