When a team trades for a bad contract they receive compensation for doing so...they don't just take on bad money for no reason lol

A team can trade for Ben Simmons ande have zero intention of him ever playing one second for their team......they wanted the assets coming along with it and it's only the book for one year

The other scenario is trading bad money for another teams bad money and just hoping it's a better fit for what you're trying to do but I don't see a team wanting Ben Simmons with the idea of him actually contributing at this point

You can absolutely move Ben Simmons but you're attaching picks along with him in order to do that
We’re giving up assets for a star or a building block. They can just hold on to Ben and let the contract expire 🤷🏿‍♂️

I feel you

But that's a big difference from saying nobody would trade for Ben Simmons

Either keep him and have 40 million dollars in dead money just sitting on your books.......combined with 23.6 for Cam Johnson, 23 for Bridges and whatever you pay to retain Nic Claxton(let's just 20 mil).....DFS/Schroeder 27 mil combined

That's 133 million of your books right there

Or

You have to attach picks to move him and open up more space but you have limited picks since you don't have your own picks and don't control your draft....the picks you do have aren't premium picks at this moment

Not even trying to joke or be funny, the Nets are in a very difficult situation right now with no real way out

Right. I meant they're not going to fall into the play in spots as the streets are saying
yeah worst case scenario they are the 4th seed

It’s actually better for them first round because idk how they fare between the Mavs/warriors/lakers

But against the pelicans they can win that without towns

Either way sucks for my boy
