I like Stevie G and wish him every success in management, but we can't deny that there's levels in football management and Villa absolutely lucked out getting Emery who is top draw.
I even thought it was harsh to sack him when he was at Arsenal, and if he got the same time as Arteta has, Arsenal would be even better today IMO.
The guy finished 5th in his first season and got to the Europa league final. He didn't even make it to Xmas in his second season.
Meanwhile Arteta was allowed to come 8th, 8th, 5th before getting 2nd last season.
