2022 NFL Season Thread

Naah, let's not act like he's always performed like this. I'm not a Wilson fan but he deserves his respect for what he did in SEA.

Dude won about twice as many games as he lost with 292 TD's to 87 INT's (regular season). And he didn't have a great OL or great WR group the whole time.
He always start off good then fade

I remember years ago reading an article on bleacher report about anonymous Seahawks players and staffers questioning Russell's authenticity and leadership.
Multiple credential media remembers have agreed with Kyle Brandt's comments and former and current teammates aren't publicly defending him, if anything it's the opposite (Golden Tate 'liked' the vid post). Seems like that's the consensus perception of him around the league.

How you treat people matters and he's not the kinda guy that will be shown sympathy and leniency if he continues to play shit. Those sleeping dogs will rise...

Play from 1:14:00... another telling remark

Well yeah, most great quarterbacks when they demand the bag are not gonna have a great team around them. They are supposed to put the team in their back.

Russ wanted the bag and so his team was garbage. That's the economics of the NFL. Brady was taking paycuts and throwing to 7th round former quarterbacks. Only reason they ere able to get Gronk was because he broke his back. Only reason they got Randy because the league thought he was done.

The problem with Russell is the play style that made him good when he was in his prime, which was running around and chucking it deep isn't gonna work when he's old.

People been clamoring for this man to be unleashed and allowed to do him every time Pete Carroll reeled him in. Last year his team imploded and the back in the end of the season he played terrible.

He can't read the field. He can't make the simple plays that keep drives going. He's an average pocket passer.

He's been like this his whole prime. Now it's the same flaws, but now he can't scramble for 15 seconds and chuck it downfield.

Lamar a better pocket passer than this man and actually don't mind hanging in there. For two year Lamar couldn't even make throws on the boundaries, everything had to be right in front of him. Now he can sling it all over the field.

Russ been in the league for over a decade and still can't see the field.

He's overrated because that defense got him a ring. Without that ring he's Kirk Cousins. An above QB that can't get you there without a lot of help.

The LOB knew Russ wasn't that guy but nobody wanted to hear it.

The numbers just don't back up what you're saying. 2 seasons ago he threw 40 TD's 13 INT and completed 68.8% of his passes. Year before that 31 TD 5 INT completing 66.1% of his passes. He went 11-5 and 12-4 those years.

But you're saying he can't see the field and he just chucks it deep and hopes it goes well? Guy deserves more respect for what he did in SEA than that.
