The NFL is looking to grow its international business to $1 billion annually over the next 10 years and is using to flag football to help.frontofficesports.com
Can't imagine what the deals will be looking like in 5-10 years
That's what I'm sayin.
How is this sustainable?
Yes. the salary cap will keep going up.
And sure the NFL, the teams n these stadiums make money in various ways. But all that money comes from consumers, n to cover the spike in salaries these teams are gonna raise the prices on everything....in bizness the extra cost is always passed onto the consumer.
And we are gonna keep seein the top tier NFL contracts ballooning.
If Watson got 230m over 5 years. In 15 years will that same type of player get 600m over 5 years?
So to cover that, everything will go up. Ppl will be cool w covering those costs jus to watch football?
Like does the NFL bubble eventually burst?
idk

Take that TV money away and they'd still be getting 1970's contracts.
All Cable and Satellite providers (TV providers) pay each Network owner (Programmer) a fee for every household that receives a particular Network – regardless of whether anyone in the household actually watches it. These Network fees have increased dramatically at 3½ times the rate of inflation over the last 15 years.
Yes n no
Tv money is a big part of it. But where do the channels get that money from?
Some is advertising. But alot is the consumer.

nfl keeps raising the cap to cover the saleries thus nfl charges cable channels more to carry the games. Tv channels charge cable companies more to carry the channel. The cable companies raises the cost to cable packages. So the conumers pays more in the end
