I saw how many games zion has averaged per season then gave my thoughts

I had a response typed up but deleted it

You didn’t need to be apprehensive. I’m approachable man

It’s not a case of Zion shouldnt have made it over ____ it’s just as I said for a guy to be miss huge chunks of seasons and get shut down over and over It just feels nasty he’s a 2 time all star

He deserved it both years technically. Just feels gross

Some of My peers agreed with me. If my answer isn’t what you were looking for maybe you can ask them

My remark wasn't going to be basketball related hence why I didn't post it

I mean if he's playing at an elite level at the time of the voting, why not?

Had you said All NBA first team, then even I would've agreed.

But I personally place all NBA over AS selections

well as far as this year he was already hurt when voting was still going on and because it’s a popularity vote fans voted him as a starter

But I’m looking at it from a legacy standpoint

Let’s say Zion stays on this injury path for another.. hmm another 4 years

Zion would be a 4 time all star only playing 34% of his career

Im sure there players who are just as good as him if not better who played a lot more who won’t have that many appearances

Hence it being gross when you look at it in totality

Therein lies this "issue"

It's a first half of the season "award".

Also, if you had someone else in mind who should've been a clear favorite over him then maybe that's a different discussion also, at least to me

Let's not act like a lot of legacy AS selections haven't gone to players that statistically shouldn't have made the game but I also get that side of it as well
