Russ is in a position where he’s either taking touches away from young players on teams that need to prioritize development (this will reset the beginning of next season)

Or

Not a good enough defender or shooter to seriously help a contending team

In the case of the clippers, they got something really good going with mann/Powell and you’re now hurting that with a Russ addition

Gordon to a smaller extent as he doesn’t necessarily need that ball as a 3 and D guard

Bones got traded there only to get completely stymied
