He dropped him there, and they agreed that he was going to come back at an appointed time for him. Dude left gun in his car. While in route to go back for him, dude called him and said bring the gun. When he gets there dude takes the gun and did what he did. If all that is true, to say that he "brought him the gun" is misleading.
