Thats the typical Dutch way though, blunt / direct communication: that’s how Cruijff operated at Barca, Van Gaal at Bayern and currently Wiegman at England, Bosz at Lyon etc. The team always goes above the individual and you can’t keep everyone happy. It’s also why many Dutch coaches fail because they’re to arrogant to adjust and adapt to the culture/land they’re in.
that’s also why Dutch stand up and even footy pundits are goat, mofos are arrogant as hell and got no filter. Best football pundits currently are Van Basten, Sneijder and van der vaart by far, they talk mad shit and it’s almost a crime it’s only viewed by a selective audience lol.
