Stop thinking with a western mindset a winter world cup is fine every country in the world should be able to host the world cup it's a global sport.

A summer world cup interrupts someone season. You just don't care about the teams or countries it effects
Its not a western mindset, I dont actually care when the WC is... Though it would be dope to have something to watch at the end of EPL when theres normally no football to watch...
Im talking about practicality... Players are playing intense club football like 1 or 2 weeks before going straight into a major tournament, getting injured and have no time to rehab...
EPL, La Liga, Seria A, Bundesliga, Eredivisie, Championship etc all finish around the same time dont they??? Most big players from around the world pay within those leagues... Sponsors (and fans) want the big players playing, otherwise they might as well buy the U21 World Cup if they want second string teams playing...

Do whats best for the major players...
All the best players from around the world: Europe, Africa, South America and Asia all play in those leagues, so yeah, fans and sponsors want to see those players at the best/peak and and actually play... Its common sense, base the WC around those major leagues and accommodate the those players... Not the MLS, Chinese Super League or the J League etc...
Do you think the NBA would base AllStar weekend around the Euro League if they could participate???
