They need to know if this income is taxable, does this make them employees of the university, are they considered contractors, is the money recoupable if the player transfers or leaves school for NFL early…like I see a lot of fuckery ensuing the bigger these numbers get.

These kids need to be protected.
 
11 million for maybe 2 years of starting is crazy to me from the prospective of giving the money.
Who is to even say this dude plays? Will the coach be forced to play him now because they paying him 9 million?

they are paying these kids for best case scenario future projections as a player and a brand…

if this guy doesn't meet that then what…is the money recoupable because he didn't turn out to be a superstar player with name recognition?
