2021/22 NBA Season Thread

Starting Burks also opens the avenue to start IQ and bench Fournier.

Cant start IQ with another small guard, but if you start Burk, then you can start a small guard.

Not saying this happens soon, but if the starting 5 continue to struggle, thats the next change.

2 months gone on a nets team that’s struggling as a whole outside of Durant ain’t good and now they are down a shooter and a decent forward

it’s gonna hurt as it’s gonna put more pressure on other guys

remember earlier in the season when Joe refused to shoot/couldn’t shoot and how that looked for the nets? Yeahh

lol fair enough
Frfr though, had he not gotten hurt and you said he was playing like shit, I would thumbs up the analysis. I think they were .500 before the latest lost with him back though.

It hasn't been pretty but the defense still has to account for him when he's out there.

To me, he's been pretty damn good when they get him in situations where he catches the ball, coming off a screen and immediately rises up to take the shot. When they run iso ball with him, eye test tells me no one is moving and he's forcing shit cause they trying to let him cook. He needs to be playing more off the ball at least until Zion comes back.

He's trying his ass off this year though and there's no stat to point to but you can see his effort every possession

Yeah but all I said was since he got back from injury he’s been ass

it’s factsss

When were y’all ever .500? I’m confused.. y’all started 3-3 something and I just don’t remember?

letting him play off the ball means trusting Graham as a playmaker and if I’m Ingram I’m not doing that. I’m raising my usage rate

I might be misquoting the stat. I'm too lazy to find it.

Trusting Graham won them the game late against Utah.

Moving Naw to the bench has helped as well as the insertion of Gomez to give JV much needed rest.

Jaxon ended up going 3/3 from 3 in garbage minutes the other night cause he finally did what they've been working with him on and that's catching and shooting as soon as he gets the ball. Not projecting anything but he needs to be consistent at something and fast instead of getting benched by the play of Gomez every other 10 games.

But again, you have a way with words so had you said it differently, it comes off like an actual analysis vs some thinly veiled insult

Ehhh I’m not trusting Graham in any situation personally. He won you the game and that’s cool

he’s not a true point, he’s not a good shooter

he’s not even a starter imo
Also I actually watched those garbage time mins when hayes went 3/3

it’s cool that that’s what y’all are working on but I don’t like that for him. I don’t think this helps him out as a player long term in finding his niche

also this is all I ever said. I made an observation on my own after looking at some stuff around the league
