Eerily similar to 2017 where Kawhi went out in game 5 and the rockets dropped a close one to SA. Only to come back home and lose by 40 to a spurs team with no kawhi or Parker.

I hope this ain’t the case.

This is exactly what I thought of when I typed what I did above. Harden completely shit the bed against my team that year. Now he has gotten even better and they have Chris Paul now so things might be different.

But I honestly think for some players it's easier to be the underdog as opposed to being the favorite. Houston should've won the last game but their coaching staff was stupid and didn't double Curry in the 4th to make those other players besides Klay beat you. Harden had no help to close out a game they had a serious chance to win

If and when KD leaves, I think they should build a team of role players that resembles what they had before maybe with a solid wing scorer and someone who brings more of a reliable inside presence.

If Boogie was smart he would try to resign with GS on a reasonable deal, get healthy, work on his defense and conditioning and become a 2nd/ 3rd option on a contender.

He could work his way back to being a Max Player and maybe one with a ring or two.

this not gonna happen

If Boogie was smart he should try and get the most money he can get from any team

That’s fair - depends on his motivation and strategy tho.

Nobody is paying him a max based on what he has shown this year.

Coming off of two separate injuries

He has to prove that he can play at an all NBA level. Name me a better place to do that than GS as a 2nd or 3rd option without KD?

Chance to win a ring and be a main piece on a title team.

After that, any team would give him the Max if he wants to leave. In a few years, even Golden State would.

Or he can chase the most money (which won’t be the max) and struggle on an incompetent team.

That probably doesn’t bode with for the rest of his career (and by extension cash flow) IMO.
