Dude was trying so hard not to sound bothered and still came off sounding flustered lololol

Derozan was giving Klay buckets last night too, him and Aldridge were both hitting clutch shots in the 4th

Honestly they did miss a decent amount of stuff they usually make but he came off hella salty.

DeRozan played great and even was solid on defense. Aldridge, White and even Bertans with solid defense and some clutch shots came through. Spurs still have to play better defense over all but they've been a ton better since White came back.

OKC better find a way not to finish in that 6th spot. It'll be 3 years in a row that Russ gets clapped in the first round.

Starting forward for the Crowned Too Soon team: Jayson Tatum

He kills my team bcuz of a good matchup but I don't see that " he got next" gene that hegot crowned with.

Pre draft he was always the most pro ready out of the 17’ prospects. So him being so polished as a rookie shouldn’t have been that surprising. But the media went into overdrive. Partially due to the nba media having a bunch of Boston fanboys.

I think he’ll still be an all star eventually, but the whole next Kobe future top 5 player in the league stuff was always comical.

I dont know about the media having any Boston fanboys...missed me w that one.

But niggas acting like dude wasnt balling in the playoffs hence the hype. Dude is only 20. Chill....

Not comparing him to Kobe, but it did take Kobe sometime before he took off ...let's remember Kobe's first year in the playoffs

Again. Not comparing him to Kobe or saying he will become kobe.

.

Zach Lowe
Bill Simmons
Chris Mannix
Kevin O’Connor
& the rest of the Ringer staff

Aka a bunch of guys who have major influence over the hipster “I know basketball but can’t dribble between my legs” crowd aka half the realgm posters.

Tatum doesn't have the athleticism kobe had to be a star franchise player

Never said Tatum did...

And I dont travel to other sites so shame on other posters for paying too much attention to Bill Simmons

Shit Boston fans dont even pay attention to bill simmons.

Hell yea. Look at the shot chart. Tatum shoots alot of contested mid range jumpers and only attempts 3 ft per game.

He doesn't get to the rim enough

Wait..i am not understanding your premise or maybe you aren't explaining it right.

So to be a superstar you need to be athletic? Curry almost never finishes above the rim and he is a superstar...

and Tatum has had enough finishes at the rim, like what more does he need beside letting his game delevelop more. He is only 20, again only 20...at 19 he was in the Eastern Conference Finals, dunked on LeBron to boot and I think was among the league leaders in 3pt shooting last year ( i could be getting that stat mixed up)

now niggas mad that he got some hype...damn

Yall too quick to judge young players.

Lets give these kids atleast 4 years in the league before difinitive judgements.

Tatum was great in the playoffs last year for a rookie. Thats the part people forget. Tatum didnt play at a superstar level, ill give him border line star but even thats debateable.

Everyone ran with how good Tatum was because a he out performed rookie expectations and then people hyped him up to be the next Kobe. Theres a huge jump between outperforming for a rookie vs. the next Kobe but most fans are hype beasts and nut huggers so no surprise they ran with that.

Imo Tatum is good. Potential to be great but I cant sit here and say he'll definitely be great or he'll never be great in his 2nd year like some of yall.

My bad in terms of comparing him to kobe no he's not athletic enough.

Next season he needs to come back with a post game. He's 6'8 and is skilled he can easily dominate in the post
