He was 3rd string at OSU behind JT and Haskins last year

He was gon 3rd string behind Haskins and Martell.

He aint taht good when a freshman each of the last 2 years was in front you

It's that time of year where I've already drank three pitchers of the kool-aid and probably need to be reeling myself back in but I think the optimism is warranted

The offensive line will be much better than it had been previously and will the best that it's been in awhile which is going to be huge if we can get some consistent production from the running game

Herman made a good point about the offense having continuity for the first time in 5 years but I'm stilll highly skeptical about the competence of Tim Beck

We have two legit options at QB which is something we haven't been able to say in a long time, Sam officially got the start today(as expected) but a lot of reports were saying Shane had been outplaying Sam here recently which is interesting

Have weapons and playmakers at the skill positions just have to make a conscious effort to get them the ball, I'm expecting a big year from Collin Johnson

Lost some studs and depth on defense but we still have some beasts on that side of the ball and I can't wait to see what these young dbs do

I think its imperative that we blow out Maryland and the must win games for me are USC, Oklahoma and TCU........I think we need to make the Big 12 championship game this year too

Trying to temper my optimism too. To me just about everything hinges on how well the OL plays.

I like Herb Hand coming in, but his lines have historically been pretty dominant at run blocking while being poor to mediocre at pass blocking. Even that would be a hell of an improvement over last season.

I think we have a nice window this year as USC, OU, and OSU should be down, and TCU will be good but not unbeatable.

This year will solidify the narrative about whether Herman can get it done here.
