COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

No its not, have you heard of the ratchet effect?

You also dont understand what the role of liberals when it comes to US politics. Their sole job is to stand in the way of progress and stop leftist momentum inside the democratic party.

You really dont want things to really get better, you just want a hug box and the status quo. You don't want learn, you just go along with what they tell you. You allow them to manufacture your consent.

Don’t purport to know what I want. I’m practical and a realist. I can acknowledge when there’s a greater harm.

Did I not point to the following sentences that u conveniently didn't bold where I specified 3rd party?

Yes. And with you saying there and multiple other times that voting for a 3rd party candidate is pointless that eliminates you voting 3rd party even if they aren't "establishment candidates". And with you pointing out that you don't want an "establishment candidate" that already severely limits your options. Nobody trying to throw a Trump supporters label on you. I just pointed out that based on the qualifications you laid out, for the moment in time we are in he fits the basic criteria you initially laid out.

Ok so with all that shit u just typed I sat out and didn't vote. So what's your point?

That your stance has a built in stance that the chances of a candidate ever fitting is slim to none. So it would make more sense to just say you're never going to regardless instead of trying to give a reason that don't hold up that strong under scrutiny.

Ok cool I thought u were trying to sell me on trump 🙄

Let's go with what you said, again, I'm going with ALL THAT YOU"VE SAID and you still haven't produced anything but again, let's go with what you are saying

Wasn't pressure put on Kamala? Wasn't pressure put on the Dems in Cali?? Yes or No

FBAs put pressure on folks just like every other group Yes or no

FBA is not a movement. You keep saying this, it's a lineage bro.

Was pressure put on Biden before he ran by FBAs??

My question to you is, why would Dems leave FBAs "who are their biggest voting group" why would they leave them at the bottom?? Answer this please

If your mother or coach supported your dreams of becoming a basketball player and you made it, would you still keep your number supporter in the hood? or at the bottom struggling

What would ppl call you for doing that to your mother or coach??? Do you think you are seen in a good light for doing that to your folks who helped you get to your goals??
Was pressure put on Harris and Biden....No. As far as pressure placed on Cali Dems, the group there is consistently doing news conferences and showing up during congressional hearings not letting the issue die. That's exactly what they should be doing.

You keep asking questions as if those you keep @ing somehow believe that Democrats are going to be our saviors when none of us feel that way. Politicians don't work off of "loyalty". They respond to money and political pressure.

Knowing that blacks, especially those that live in an area that has a predominantly black constituency, should be sending congressional representatives that will push the policies that we need and want. Then there should be constant pressure to hold those representatives accountable if they are not doing what they are supposed to. If that representative has nothing tangible to show, then they need to be voted out during the primary process. This should be happening at all levels of government.

I've said before, but this is the blueprint of how the tea party/MAGA gained power with the Republician party...

Biden was given a whole plan to look over, Ice Cube asked him to call him to meet with him and other black scholars. Is that not pressure?

Ok, I am glad you said that about the loyalty situation. I'm so glad you mentioned that.

So now, the policy going forward that many FBAs want, "How can you close the wealth gap" Give us 3 to 4 policies that will get FBAS out of the hole Mr. or Mrs. Politician. You don't know?? oh well, next, no vote for you. That's how that's gonna go from here on out. Using your words, putting pressure and demanding these politicians to answer questions we want answered before we vote yo ass in.

If a politician can't give us these answers, then they don't get our vote. Stop playing in our faces. Answer that 1 question and then we move on to the next.

Show us them steps on how you will close that wealth gap for FBAs

So now, "couch gang" can chill until these politicians from either side can answer that question.

Is this logic/question that I presented a hard thing to understand??? Why do you think posters like Night, Mister, Gray Matter, other black immigrants see this logic and don't like it??

If you can see and understand the question/logic, why is it that those "others" can't seem to get it or jump on board?? Or is it that they they DO understand it, but they see that they have no benefits in the equation??

We podding now.
That's their issue. I honestly don't even know why you @'ed me in that post... you know I'm the House speaker of the #CouchGang party. We done argued these points for the past 12 months at minimum, sometimes amongst each other. Talks of any plan or organization devolve into name calling and finger pointing. In a country where ppl are expected to set their differences aside and form Voltron whenever a "foreign menace" attacks gov't property, we call ourselves creating imaginary groups for Black ppl whenever someone tries to work towards a solution for us. They haven't been here longer than us, so they don't understand the frustration of constantly being ignored while still being used to support other ppls causes. #CouchGang acknowledges that frustration and offers a myriad of solutions based on who you speak to. Me personally, I say stop treating the gov't like a wish granting genie and actually put our issues to the forefront of our community's demands... and if they don't comply, we withdraw our support and move forward on our own.

Ice Cube attempting to just meet with Biden was not pressure. The idea was noble, but nothing will come from just meeting with the president. The better plan would have been to meet not only with Biden, but with various congressional reps to get their views on his plan and then using his money and influence to sway a representative's constituency to either help or hinder that politician's campaign run based on how they responded during that meeting. This is how many individuals (Elon Musk for example) and PAC groups are able to get agendas pushed.

My problem with couch gang is that IMO not voting at all doesn't have the effect that you think, especially when we're taking about presidential elections. Removing our presence looks like we as a collective don't care therefore there is no need to address our needs and concerns. Someone is going to be elected regardless and it's highly likely that person is going to be someone who could two fucks about black people.

Much like the situation we are in now🙃

I want to extend this question to the Democratic members in here, I would like you to list policies that will get 30-40 million FBAs out of the hole, closing the wealth gap. You can't use reparations nor can you give "direct" polices to FBAs since that would be considered putting other groups down such as black/white immigrants, white folks, Asians, etc.

Just 3 or 4 policies or ways that YOU can come up to present to your Democratic Party that will get 30-40 million (FBAs) out of the hole.
In this example, if you can't list 2, 3 or 4 policies, you will lose all 30-40 million (FBAs) vote.

@AP3.0
@Tayboo
@BlackRain
@Gray Matter
@Mister
@ChicagoFigure
@Disanthrope
@Lab Baby
@TheMyth guy
@Inori
@Elzo69Renaissance

If you got jokes or something, don't worry yourself asking, this is a serious question.

How will you narrow the gap without bringing others down is what I am asking you??

You keep talking in "words" I'm asking you to show your work?

Tell us how would you do this??

Bring up 30 million black folks (FBAs) without bringing down other groups and you stated that you are not a fan of "direct" policies to just 1 particular group, you said that reparations won't be a thing

So give us 3 ways/policies that you can explain to us how you will bring up 30-40 million (FBAS) to close that wealth gap without bringing down or elevating other groups such as black immigrants/white immigrants, Asians, white folks etc. without giving "direct" policies to the group (FBAs) that's at the bottom

Go, yo ass is on the clock. Tell us democratic party member since you want (FBAs) vote. Tell us how will you and your party will bring us outta this hole and close the wealth gap without elevating others and bringing other groups down. No reparations or direct polices for 1 particular group.

Tell us how your party's plan will work. Go

In this example, if you can't bring us outta of the hole we are in, or name 3 things policies etc, you will lose all 40 million FBA votes

Go.

It's just a example.

Go

Ok. Couch gang wants to ask you,
What policies will close the wealth gap for no couch gang.?

All of this voting and we need our presence to be known, No

We are in last place in everything just about our presence isn't known or seen
If that was the case, we wouldn't be at the bottom.

Couch gang is asking what policies will help with the wealth gap for FBAS.

What the Dems have in store or you?
