COMMUNITY Breaking Bad - A Hindsight Discussion

Can’t agree I have watched both of those shows more than once and I still love them

Well yeah people tend remember the feeling they had when they were watching their favorite show or listening to their favorite artists over re-evaluating their favorite media from a critical perspective.

Breaking Bad was grew sillier and sillier towards the end.

Walter blowing up a hospital to kill one person - silly.

Walter's playing Zodiac Killer with his brother-in-law - silly.

Walter shaving his head and walking around like a bad ass and acting like a dick when he's too afraid to even pick up a gun? Silly.

Only way the show worked was by making Walter the smartest character in the show and all the other criminals were bumbling idiots, outsmarted and out maneuvered by Walter.

But his dumbass brother-in-law is able to put two and two together?

I like the show, but it's a very middle class White bread male fever dream of what being a drug dealer is like.

Walt started the show blowing up a room he was standing in by the penultimate ep

A man got made into a smoothie in like ep 3

I been on some BB and BCS rewatch shit lately

Funny how Lalo was Gus’ biggest challenge .

By the time you get to BB Gus has already checkmated the cartel.

It seemed like Gus was under pressure, but he was playing them like a fiddle.

After my most recent BB rewatch, I can see parallels between Walt and Gus from BCS in this they always managed to find a way when their backs were against the wall

One of my favorite scenes from my most recent rewatch is when Gus goes to the hospital to basically give Jesse time off to tend to Brock

He goes back to his car and nothing appears out of place yet, he's super suspicious and just watches... Like a terminator scanning for something

Then just dips. Like does he really sense something is off or is this just convenient writing to foil Walters plans

Either way, just a great scene with tension

Looking at how Gus handled Lalo I think I get it.

Simple answer is when beef is on Gus is wild paranoid

Also Gus has OCD and something may have felt out of order.

Gus thought the Brock thing was a set up because he knew he didn't poison him and he left his car unguarded and still had beef with the cartel and Walt.
