Democrats need to get stronger on border security and sending illegal migrants and illegal immigrants back to their countries of origin. Cause that whole open border policies are not going to help in future elections. Get tough on immigration.

Campaigning with Liz Chaney, constantly talking about the former Trump staffers and their beef with Trump, telling women to secretly vote for her etc is not pandering to the base. Unless the democratic base is now a bunch of former republicans.

Quiet as it's kept deportation is usually higher with Democratic president in office. Obama has the highest deportation numbers of any president...

It’s one of the big reasons President Obama was a 2 term back to back President , you have to be strong on border security ,it takes away a strong talking point from Republicans . It’s a reason Trump killed the border deal cause it’s a issue that drives Republicans to the polls to vote

And this isn't saying the candidate wouldn't have been Kamala.

It would have either been someone else that the public liked more, or it would have been a Kamala that had months to campaign against other Democrats and found out what worked and didn't. Might have lost or won but incorporated what she saw was working for the other candidates.

For me personally, it's the combination of lack of trust in the government in general, the excessive pandering that's disrespectful to my intelligence, and the overwhelming partisanship in whatever state I lived in at the time. Also, I'm at a point where I feel like we should be able to directly talk to whoever's in office to make sure the policies beneficial for us are implemented. The most communication the average American is gonna have with their lawmakers is with their vote. Ballots aren't gonna build bridges or lower taxes.
