On one hand, I'm not really sure what they want Disney to do. They're in the same situation as the WNBA. Part of the fanbase has been showing shitty behavior. They've released statements speaking out against it, but what else are they supposed to do. Should they scour social media looking for people saying racist or sexist shit, and ban those people from D+ or Disney produced movies. It's all well and good to say Disney should do more, but there aren't a lot of companies out there that make a point of going at their customer base.
On the other hand, the racist/sexist shit is a problem even for the money side. These shows are being lambasted from the jump. They aren't even able to pick up steam because they are being trashed right out of the gate. The show was amazing, but it had potential. Far worse shows have gone on to do better in subsequent seasons.
