Nothing has changed, mom gets in the back unless there's a medical reason where it's easier for her to be in the front

I remember once… my mom and my wife were going to the market because they were cooking for a family reunion, I said I’d go too, and they had my 6’4 ass in the backseat sitting sideways

Some years back my MIL came with us to Outback for dinner. Maybe it was the fact that I was driving a minivan at the time and the back seats looked comfy, but the MIL went straight to the back with no hesitation or words. We never had this issue with her any time she was with us.
