I'm ok with that part as it made sense in the context of the story. What I didn't like... fuck that, what I fuckin HATED was them generic ass names "The Dweller In Darkness" and "The Great Protector". They really needed to put some effort into coming up with decent names, especially for the dragon. Them niggas just plain got lazy there.

I would've preferred more focus on Shang and his sister facing their father together. You can even include pops actually getting possessed and right before that happening he still passes the rings off to Shang. His sister still has that whip blade weapon and just have them stop him together. The possession can still kill him after like the story but have their Dad cognizant enough to help them kill the creature.

I would've kept it as a continued focus on the close quarter combat and personal.
