Ironically it's a disorder called Acquired Savant Syndrome which is the opposite of Autism and Down Syndrome. It normally makes the person into a X-Man giving them super abilities normally happens after a traumatic brain injury which cause either Left or Right brain to overcompensate with brain activity giving them extra abilities.


FYI only reason I even know this shit I was high as fuck last night watching a tiktok about people with this shit

Some positive news for once
 
I'm still a little torn about this, on one hand the kid clearly has issues and him being that size the teacher should've known what's going on with him thoroughly before being around him and at the least have a security guard in the area to handle the young man properly so I blame the school.

On the other hand, what if this teacher was your wife,gf or mother. I personally would want homie thrown under the jail if my S/O was harmed in that manner regardless of mental illness or age. So now my rage would be directly at the parents and I would sue them into a oblivion or knowing me want to beat the father's ass or have my hood homegirls beat the mom's ass

I agree with the first paragraph.

The 2nd one is an emotional reaction.
 
If he really has the mental disabilities that they say he has, then it might not be anyones fault. The parents can do all they can. The system might have already did what they could. But you cant account for everything that might happen with a disability, and every now and again something will happen that is outside the expectations.

That said, if they putting him in jail for 5 years, then he most likely passed a mental aptitude exam. Cant get tried if you dont understand your crime.

Now that there is how the system works on paper, but it can also have been tossed aside due to racism, especially in florida. The kid might really have the mental aptitude of a 4 year old and a racist ass state prosecutor and judge might still look at it as a victory to lock up a 6'6 black "man"

Nah you need to read up on this.

The school placed undertrained teachers and the paraprofessional with the kid. Them two then did not complete their training nor did they read his IEP.

The adults in his space failed him from the word go and are still failing him

Preciate the clarity.

But the part thats fucking me up, if this was a situation where we have a kid who is diagnosed by a professional and needs all these resources to function, and we have a situation where that kid was failed by the system, how can we in good conscious send the kid to an adult prison for 5 years?

That is also part of the problem.

Florida has no proper facilities for him.
 
If he's autistic then he should be in a hospital not prison.

But:
1) He's black. Justice system doesn't care.
2) Folks will be blinded by emotion and remind me of the video of him beating up the teacher and think his prison sentence is justified.
