3rd Straight Weekend With At Least 30 People Shot In Chicago

Aite so someone I know was just arrested for one count of carjacking and one count of discharging a firearm

The entire crime spree is on fucking tape

He sees the judge tomorrow

The issue is a bunch of problems happening simultaneously, but they only have the budget or support to address like a couple of them at most. Until they can attack everything at once, they wont stop the gun violence. Just slow it down at most.

And they need to find some balance for that bail system. The whole reason it started was cause jails were super overcrowd, and a bunch of people in there were taking up space for dumb minor shit they didnt have bail for. Dumb frivolously arrests just to fuck with people they knew had no money.

Finally, police unions always say police morale is low when the government finally steps in and doesnt let them rampage doing w/e they want with immunity. Let not forget for years chicago police had their own secret black site theyd take people to torture to get them to confess to shit, turn body cams off when they're bout to kill someone that pisses them off & all only kinds of janky shit

It’s two fold for example I know a cop who s on a robbery task force ( which is a huge issue) right now who was recently telling how they gotta go to the trouble of catching robbery suspects just to watch the DA drop the charges or plea down
Because they don’t think it’s worth it to prosecute

How would your morale be?

It’s what happens when city leadership believe this type of behavior is directly correlated to racism laws of the past

So instead of getting this idiots of the street they are spending 100s of millions to address the root causes which to them is poverty and mental health

Niggas ran a truck into the Saks few blocks away from the crib on Oak and Rush police gets on the scene gives chase then get told to back off once they get on the 90/94 ramp on Ontario

With basically a no vehicle and no foot chase policy
