I think shits different now. I might be an out of touch old head, so if im wrong, im wrong.

I feel like in 2024 mfers dont care like we did in the late 90s and 2000s. Imo if Drake releases some hot shit that, mfers gon bump it.

Hes still gonna be known as the guy that lost and got humbled, but let Drakes next shit be fire and mfers will forgive.

One thing though, Kendrick cemented his spot as the #1 of their era, so Kendrick can sell 1 record and Drake can sell 10 mil, and Kendrick still will go down as the #1 of their era. Drake lost out on that forever.

But he'll still sell imo if the next joint fire.

This. I also think Drake was dropping too much shit. Like every year so I think he can just chill and do singles

I remember when they said Gunna was done for, nigga dropped a hot song and been selling out arenas ever since. Kendrick's thing is for the moment but soon as Drake drops a summer smash the fuck niggas and the women who love Drake will unite and make him still the biggest artist in the game

If his music doesn't reflect any actual growth again...it might actually be a wrap because it will at that point confirm what a huge part of Kendrick disses were about.
Like his last 2 singles he's released? Not a great start

Drake was already falling off before the beef

he’s reached his peak, it’s probably downhill from here

Still successful but not what it once was but it happens
Time definitely playing a factor the game always moves on

I think Drake wants to fall off to a degree. This man has been in motion musically for like fifteen years. When has he ever really been able to relax and reflect? This definitely took a shit on his career because he is just a safe rapper. He doesn’t explore out and make great projects. He knows his lane, pays his handlers and that’s it

He’ll be fine. But he’ll never be the same. When you hear his records, in the back of your mind you’re thinking “freaky ass nigga he a 69 god”

This here. Is gon be kinda like when you hear a R. Kelly record now. in the back of your head is like “hmmm, this shit might have been about a lil girl” kinda…not quite the same scenario.

Drake will somehow hit with a single cuz he’s Drake. He’s still capable. The last few songs he’s been on post “Not Like Us” ain’t been good but granted those were features. People trying to compare Kendrick to him as far as sales are concerned are off base. Drakes the pop star, Kendrick doesn’t need that kind of validation. Drake will either continue the trajectory he’s been on and rock with the same subject matter or switch it up. We’ll see. It’s gonna be a interesting couple years as far as his career goes.

Ehh. I see your point, but if he starts to change his music due to Kendrick, it will prove kedricks point even more. This is where Ja Rule went wrong w his 50 beef. He went away from what made him successful and fell into 50’s trap.
Drake is a pop artist, go make more smash hit records and distance yourself from this with your hits. Don’t try to become Kendrick and start making a bunch of conscious/grown up music RIGHT NOW.

If I was Drake I would close the ranks and only be Pro Toronto and pro everybody who fucks with me for real like a 21, a game. I would completely isolate myself from the industry and do no features...

Yeah and it’s fine

It’s a new era

He a legacy act damn near at this point

Drake is nowhere near and very far from being a legacy act. He the most famous rapper in the world of this generation and put out a very good album w 21 savage last year that young people was going crazy to.
Lil Wayne is more of a legacy act at this point than Drake.
