Why though?

What can Klay offer that lineup? Defense? No. Shooting? No.

Not even the calm veteran presence of a champion cause Klay been emotional as fuck in games for the last 2 years.

Dont wish that on Orlando.

Unless you trying to sabatoge. In that case, im all in.
I’m the leader of the washed Klay klub but 38% shooting making 3 threes a game is shooting

Klay still can play relatively decent D just not anywhere near as good as before and he wouldn’t have to

Hes playing with Suggs and an incredibly tall team

Also klay’s arrogance comes from being in GS

He would be humble on that 2 year deal soaking up that Florida sun

To your point, with Isaac and Carter patrolling in the paint, I think all Klay has to be is somewhat decent cause they'll mask his deficiencies on defense

Why overpay for Klay Thompson when you can trade for Anfernee Simons who is on a very team friendly deal.....3 years left making 24 per
because the Magic are going to go into the summer reaching the 2nd round of the playoffs

Miss me with the overpay on a two year deal lol

I can understand why people might not want to write Klay off. We've seen plenty of players that were seen as finished go other places and flourish. Westbrook is a good example of that.

Still, it would be a tough call for any team to take him after this year of him struggling has been on full display and him capping the season of with an almost historically bad game.

I would worry about his mind if I was a GM. He looked demoralized out there last night.

I agree but why would Portland do that?

They probably won't because they think they can compete for the play-in/playoff next season which is ridiculous

The reason they should do it is they have a ton of overlap at the point guard position and they arent going anywhere......Simons, Scoot, Shaedon Sharpe, Brogdon, Scoot

Orlando has all of their picks and has plenty of cap space to take him so it would be a very trade unless Portland wants a young player in which case Orlando can throw in Anthony Black, Cole Anthony ect

Plus dude is tired of losing
