Welcome To aBlackWeb

$18 Combos and $3 Hashbrowns got McDonalds rethinking all these price hikes.

Lol.

We are reaching the limits of capitalism.

Corporations don't care about people, they only care about profit.

Executives and managers are the ones setting pay for low-level employees right?

But also setting the prices for the products they sell.

So if they are raising prices every 3 years, but real wages in America haven't seen an increase in about 50 years...basically your employer is robbing you.

Think about it, your employer is against you, robbing you blind, selling shit that you can't afford, but you make it.

There is no coordination in between employees, employers and consumers. So that's why bread is going for 15 dollars and deli meat is for 8. They don't give a fuck about you but want you to come in and do your 40 hours a week, knowing damn well you can't afford shit.

Then they pay policymakers and lobbyists and the media to tell you not to unionize and raising the minimum wage is going to make you lose your job because they won't make any money to buy back their own stock. Or they tell you to care about some small business bullshit.

So they lie to you, rob you and then fuck you.
You finally making sense

Thank the Seven

For I live in Detroit and can smash Coney Island

You know what...I got a hankering for some chili cheese fries with two slices of american with heavy grilled onions

Don't judge me. I hate that gooey cheese

I don't even care anymore... Well... I take that back, as long as it ain't sliced or shredded cheddar I'm good. Can't remember where but there was a spot that used to serve their with shredded cheddar.

I think the L George's and Leo's near me in Canton and Belleville uses squeeze tho.

It ain't just McDonalds really, it's pretty much across the board. I know in my head that if we stop at Wendy's while we're out, that's damned near $40. We could eat at Applebee's for about the same price. Ain't no way Wendy's fast food is worth that much.
Yup. It really isn't a Micky D's issue it's a commercial fast food issue all across the board. I told my mother that this year I'll be limiting my spending on fast food in general b/c these prices are out of control. The food gets smaller while the prices get higher. Then you get shitty service on top of it.

I copped a filet-o-fish from McD's on the road heading up north in the fall. First thing I noticed was how fuckin small them shits was and then the price they had the nerve to charge for the combo. I think that was genuinely the last time we went to McD's and I really don't foresee a time in the near future where I ever go back. Even their sausage mcmuffins are way more expensive, them shits was 2 for $2 but not no more AND they're way smaller than they used to be.
I always get a double filet-o-fish b/c the regular sandwiches are too small and a double filet is barely larger than the regular. The shit they charge at these fast food spots is ridiculous it's $10 - 15 for a combo out the gate with a big ass drink.

Idk who's more expensive the commercial chains or the local spots because I had Mexican food about a week ago and they up their prices every time I order from there.

You stfu porky

Leave them mcdoubles alone and eat a salad

yeah I don't know if any of y'all even noticed but none of the chains are offering salads anymore. McDonalds side salad was clutch for lunch when I was trying to get my weight down when I was in AZ. Lunch would be a side salad and maybe a grilled chicken snack wrap.

We moved in May last year and our daughter was born that month so until mid June we were eating a lot of fast food. We pretty much stopped around August and I just can't see us ever going back. Even going to Wendy's for our 4 older kids is easily $30 and they're really only eating nuggets an fries which we can make at home. By the time me and my wife get something we're easily at $50 and the quality of the food plus the service is subpar.

The worst part though is buying groceries from the store is actually a more pressing issue than the fast food shit that's going on.

I'm in the grocery store so much that the employees know me on a first name basis. They're all good people but the prices are high as fuck. For 5 school days we'll spend no less than $150. It's damn near impossible to not spend $100 if we're getting food for 3-4 days. This doesn't even factor in baby formula which for us right now is $60 per week on average.

Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh!!!

I "joke" about this shit but it really ain't no joke: Damned near every time I go to the grocery store to get some shit I'm spending $50 per trip. I finally bought a smallish upright freezer so I can stock up on meats and shit, so sometimes I can cut it down, but in general I could be shopping for dinner for one night and grabbing essentials we might need and the shit is almost always a minimum of $50. If I grab shit for a week I'm looking at no less than $200 and it ain't but three of us in the crib. $200 used to feed our family of 6 for a week.

The cost of baby formula is crazy and if your baby needs a specialized formula??? fb4f35cdb969e70798d38bdda556bc4e.gif
