There's no question there's athleticism to it. If it wasn't connected to stripping, I could see it as an Olympic sport akin to some of those gymnastics events.

It's impossible to divorce it from stripping in America though.

I remember it being lobbied for being an Olympic event round about London 2012, so I think it will eventually happen one day.

It's the stigma and it being synonymous to stripping, which would be it's major hurdle to overcome.
 
Eh, pole dancing is overexualized here but at the end of the day it's gymnastics, art, fitness and for some a form of a sport. I didn't see anything sexual or weird from those videos.

I don't have a problem with it.

Literally the only way anyone has ever seen pole dancing has been in titty bars longer than I've been alive... And that's a long ass time.
 
Like I'm not even saying it can't be art. It is very athletic, and I'm even for it being an Olympic sport...

Like the shit is beautiful. But I ain't bout to be shamed for finding it sexy.

Shit I find women's track, volley ball, and a few sports pretty sexy... Two of my biggest current athlete crushes are woman boxers.... Let's keep it a buck

It's not the only way it's been seen. You can see "pole dancing" at shit like circus of soleil and there's nothing sexual about that.

With that said, we know how too many people will view children doing this and that alone is enough to not have this going ok. Gymnastics classes should be made way more accessible before this should become a thing for kids.

And that's a very recent thing and still not something that everyone has seen or even wants to see.

Lotta folks have seen movies and tv shows going back to the 70's with titty bar scenes in them and chicks swinging on the pole is a part of that.

Gymnastics and regular dance classes are widely available. Some of everybody knows someone that has a dance studio. If you don't chances are someone in your circle does.
